MASTI KALLU - KANNADA DRAMA

Sunday, 28th June 2015
This play unlike the original script which was about Roopa Kanwar the Sati case in Rajhastan has turned out into a love story. Shivaram Karanth in his Sarasammana Samadhi narrates how different women will behave in situations similar to Roopa Kanwar.  Masti Kallu's reference is taken to prove to people that love exists in all situations & Masti Kallu refers to our play being witness to one such instance.  That instance is the just of the play.
Director with artists
Masti Kallu is Prakasam's 16th production written and directed by Giriraj BM. This love story is inspired from Shivarama Karanth's epic novel "Sarasammana Samadhi". We are celeberating Kannada literature with this production.

Scenes from the drama
The drama was quite entertaining and thought provoking. All the actors acted supebly and Annappa Kamthi, Venkatramaniah, Sunalini, and others were simply excellent.

FIRST INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

Sunday, 21st June 2015
At the United Nations General Assembly in December 14th, 2014,  176 nations signed for declaring June 21st every year (as it the longest day of every year)  to be celebrated as INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY.
This was on the proposed by the Prime Minister of India, Shri. Narendra Modi.
There were lots of pro and against arguments from within the country, specially with politicians with mean mentality to get some public attention. These comments mostly came from blind followers of Congress, who wants to retain their position of power.
The muslim countries vouched for Yoga, as it benefits health and well being.
The day was celebrated throughout the world, from Sydney to Newyork TimeSquare, on Siachen mountains, in the ship, aeroplanes and everywhere.
It's 40 - 45 minutes body exercise for rejuvanating the body and mind with ASANAS AND PRANAYAMA.
We went to J P Park, Mattikere, Bengaluru at 6.30am with mats, a distance of 5 km from the house. The event YOGA SANGAMA, was organized by Rashtriya Sevak Sangha, Yeshawanthapur. The huge shamiana with a huge stage and thin carpet spread on the floor.

The current phase in which every individual is is living through, has a basic essence of satisfaction and mental peace missing. The play  TRUPTI shows the importance to these tiny beautiful emotions towards relations, with hunour which we often neglect and end up in misunderstanding our near and dear ones.

NANDI HILLS

Wednesday 10th June 2015, early morning 5 am

Left from the house BirthiMane, Bhuvaneshwari Nagar, Hebbala, Bengaluru at 4.30am with my self, Mom, Rishikanth, Vibha and Shama and reached the foot of Nanndi Hills at 5.15am and we missed the road to go up on the hills and eventually reached the top at 5.45am, only to find that gate opens only at 6.00am. There were few cars lined up at the gate waiting for it to open. Paid Rs 100 for car entrance and reached the top, viewing point, only to witness the cloud and wind.

Just 60 km from Bangalore, Nandi Hills is the city’s very own hill-station. Located at a height of 1455 metres above sea level, the serene environment and bracing air saw Tipu Sultan as well as the British use it as a summer retreat. Nandi Hills is perfect for a quiet break with leisurely strolls along the many pathways. It also offers hang-gliding facilities for adventure enthusiasts. Two ancient Shiva temples, one at the foot and the other at the peak, grace the hill.

There are many stories about the origin of the name Nandi Hills. During the Chola period, Nandi Hills was called Ananda Giri meaning The Hill of Happiness. Another story is that Yoga Nandeeshwara performed penance here, and so it was named after him. Nandi is also commonly called Nandidurga (Fort) because of the fort build here by the ruler Tippu Sultan. It is also perhaps called Nandi Hills because the hill resembles a sleeping bull (Nandi).
Started coming down at 6.45am and stopped over at PARATHA COMPANY near DevanaHalli for breakfast. After having Aloo paratha, maithi paratha and Rishi's favourite PIZZA PARATHA, we proceeded back and reached home at 8.30am.
It was a pleasant early morning trip to NANDI HILLS and back.
